As remote medical businesses adapt to post-pandemic challenges, optimism increases.
Chicago, Feb. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/– Wipfli, a major 25 expert and accounting firm, published today the results of an industry survey from the rural healthcare market that offers essential insights into current challenges and maps out long-term growth strategies.
Leaders of remote hospitals and clinics are optimistic about the future, with the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic behind them, according to Wipfli’s” State of rural care” record for 2025. The report emphasizes important developments and objectives among rural care organizations, based on a nationwide survey of C-level executives.
Leaders are focusing on profits optimization despite the fact that organizations are doing better with workforce shortages. Many are beginning to use AI tools to make up for a shrinking labour force. In fact, 32 % of rural healthcare leaders are already using AI tools to increase operational efficiency.
” Rural care companies have emerged from COVID and managed to solve the staffing issue. But costs are mounting, so they’re focusing on revenue-generating activities, like increasing refunds”, said Kelly Arduino, a partner in Wipfli’s care consulting practice.
A threefold rise in system breaches over the past year has made security a top priority for leaders ‘ concerns. Over the next 12 months, network security protections, digital applications, and AI tools have been planned for investments in 56 % of the leaders surveyed, an increase from 50 % in the previous year.
Nathan Sundheimer, a digital strategist for Wipfli, commented on the security studies. ” We’ve been talking about computer for a while, but the extraordinary rise in attacks over the past year has hit house,” says one person.
Based on responses from C-level executives at remote healthcare institutions across the United States, the study was created. The whole rural medical report can be found on , Wipfli’s site.
